How we pick
Open-cell
Attic rooflines and interior walls.
Closed-cell
Steel buildings, rim joists, crawl spaces and anywhere water contact is possible.

Your scope names the product and the applied depth before anything is ordered.
We buy our foam through Pro Foam. Our main systems are Accufoam AF1 (open-cell) and Accufoam CC-HFO (closed-cell). We also spray Profoam ProFill and ProSeal. The system for your job is named in your written scope.

Profoam Hybrid Pro
We also use Profoam Hybrid Pro 1.0, an open-cell foam with a density of 1.07 lb/ft³ on its data sheet. The data sheet describes it for exterior use and gives a 90-day aged R-value of 4.3 per inch (ASTM C518), with a Canadian (CCMC) evaluation. Ask us whether it fits your project. Why the product name matters
R-value per inch, density, fire test results and re-entry times differ from product to product. They are set by the manufacturer's data sheet, not by the contractor. Ask any contractor which product they will spray, and for its data sheet and safety data sheets. Read more about open-cell, closed-cell and how the two chemicals work together.
