What the work is
Insulation is a trade, and we run it like one. Crews are trained on the equipment they use, jobs are scoped in writing before anyone starts, and the person who wrote the scope is on site when it gets sprayed.
It is physical, it is hot in summer, and it involves attics and crawl spaces. It is also a skill that transfers, pays properly once you are good at it, and holds its value through a slow year.

Most of what makes someone good at this job can be taught. Turning up on the day you said, treating somebody’s house like it matters, and respecting the safety side are the parts we hire for.

Load the rig, drive to the job, mask and isolate the work area, spray, check depth with a gauge as you go, walk the finished work against the scope, clean up. Most residential jobs are one day; larger buildings run across several.
