The work
Lifting a slab back into place
Houston sits on expansive clay that swells when wet and shrinks as it dries. Slabs poured on it move, and when the soil underneath pulls away, the concrete is left bridging a void until it settles into it. It comes up most often out along the SH-288 corridor, where the clay is at its most active.
Concrete lifting corrects that in place. Small holes are drilled through the slab, expanding polyurethane foam is injected underneath, and the expansion fills the void and raises the slab back toward level. The holes are patched and the area is usable the same day.
It is the right answer for a settled slab over a void. Structural foundation work, and slabs cracked clean through, belong to a different trade. If that is what we find, we will tell you and point you at the right trade instead. Where the visit is also about the envelope, the insulation scope is written separately so you can see both numbers.

Same idea, different material. Mudjacking pumps a cement slurry; this uses expanding polyurethane, which is far lighter, needs smaller holes and keeps the load off the soil that just failed under the slab.
Usually the same day, often within a couple of hours. The scope will give you the figure for your job.
The foam stays put and holds its volume. Whether the ground moves again depends on the ground — if there is a drainage problem feeding the movement, fixing the drainage is part of the answer and we will tell you if we see one.
This is slab and flatwork lifting. Structural foundation repair is a different trade, and we will point you toward someone who does it.
